One of the biggest challenges for startups and young companies is to build a sufficient customer base for their new products and services. Marketing innovations is always a difficult task, even for established companies, as they often only have limited access to the newly to be built customer base.

Traction is a promising approach that, by combining various methods, makes it possible to go to market in a much shorter time and with a higher success rate than is the case with conventional marketing approaches.

The three core components of the approach are

1.)          the implementation of agile market development that begins at the same time as product development,
2.)          the targeted selection of an optimal marketing channel from 20 possible marketing channels and
3.)          the continuous quantification of the growth effect with a change in the optimal marketing channel as soon as the previous marketing channel reaches saturation.
