Christian Marty

Christian studied history, philosophy and media studies at the University of Zurich from 2009 to 2015. He completed his PhD from 2015 to 2018 and published his thesis on the sociologist Max Weber in 2019. The book is now in its third edition.

Christian's first venture was Schlaumacher GmbH, founded in 2017 - a tutoring school based in Zurich that still exists today. In 2020, the second venture followed: evulpo. evulpo is now the largest learning platform in Switzerland and one of the largest learning platforms in Europe.

Besides his academic and entrepreneurial activities, Christian occasionally works as a journalist: He portrayed influential thinkers of the 20th century, covering topics like freedom, capitalism or bureaucracy, for example for the NZZ.
